I don't know a lot about the different services, but there have been a few times that the smart card resources service freezes while trying to get my computer to recognize the fact I inserted a smart card. I checked and there were 2 of the services they mentioned that weren't running, set on manual,В so There was one forum that mentioned certain services needed to be running. I have tried researching this issue and haven't found too much. The ActivClient software ran fine and recognized my smart card reader until I inserted my smart card. I had previously had the SCM software installed and also ActivClient 6.1 installed. After I insert my smart card, if the test application program is running, that program will lock up. That comes with the SCM software and everything checks out, with the application only noting that there is no smart card inserted.
